Sowinski Self-Portrait
larger view

O'Dunn Fine Art, in partnership with the family of Stan Sowinski, presents a selection of over 40 fresh-to-the-market, mature works of this notable San Diego painter.

These impressionist landscape, portrait and still life oil paintings manifest the intimacy, spirituality, and sense of place that Stan brought to his depictions of the natural world, and of his fellow man.

Stan Sowinski maintained a stable price structure for his paintings over his career, and we will respect this by offering these works at Stan's prices. The one-month exhibit and sale represents an extraordinary opportunity for collectors and admirers of Stan's work to view and acquire some of the few remaining original paintings to be offered for sale from his studio.

Who knew that cows were hot? Well, we did!

O’Dunn Fine Art has acquired some utterly fabulous images of the cow, by Danish impressionist Gunnar Bundgaard, Arizona western artist Drake Seaman, and others … see our 20th Century collection. Providing delicious contrast are post-modern renderings of the divine bovine by Lionel Talaro, on view in the gallery August 18-30.

Join us for refreshments and to meet Lionel on Saturday August 22, from 6 to 8 pm. Mr. Talaro, having created many stimulating figurative and fantasy images over the past 15 years, forges ahead with a passion for painting cows. Says the artist: “The character and playfulness of cows never get the attention they deserve. Their expressions say so much, and they truly are beautiful.”

Educated at the Art Center in Pasadena and the Art Institute in Calabasas, Lionel began his career as an illustrator in 1992 in the motion picture and comic book industries. The appeal for Talaro's work has been recognized via numerous awards and an extensive commercial and private client list.

Paintings are subject to prior sale.....don’t beef at us if they’re spoken for!
